Accknowledge Systems is a company which supplies an accounting software package called Web Accounting or Accknowledge. This accounting software compares and competes with current software packages on the market. The accounting software is developed locally in South Africa and development started in 2002 with about 20 developers. The package was officially released to market at the beginning of 2005 and has being accepted by market.

The company celebrates 5 years in the market of the accounting software package from both online hosting to individual company installations.

AccKnowledge is a truly web based accounting software application being marketed and sold as a "white label" brand for use on the public world wide web or as an application on a private internet.

The market has accepted the accounting software package and gone through many audits of various companies.

The original mission statement was to create a stable, secure, not restrictive and expandable software accounting package to be accepted by market. This software package must be both easy to use but have the capability of handling complex accounting rules. We wanted a software that could be accessed from anywhere in the world without having to have software loaded onto the client machine. By not having installation software on the client machine and everything was controlled on the server. There was less problems with changes in operating systems on various computers, the system just requires the internet explorer browser which comes as a default on the systems installed.

With the above in mind a pipe dream became a reality. We now have a feature rich, stable, secure, not restrictive and expandable software package.
